The original construction company was founded in March 1977 in via dell'Anguillara 14, situated close to the ancient Roman amphitheater in the centre of Florence.

In the early years it mainly dealt with the maintenance and restoration of the buildings of various faculties for the University of Florence.
Mostly working with historic buildings, it then matured experience working for some museums in Florence.

From 1979 onwards, the maintenance of Careggi Hospital, CTO and Santa Maria Nuova in Florence has been also entrusted to Italrestauri. Then, again in the regional hospital segment, it worked in exclusive collaboration with Siemens, on the adaptation of premises used for diagnostic imaging.
In the following years, the clientele expanded with individuals, businesses, public bodies, police, banks, condominiums and large companies, always with special attention towards valuable Tuscan buildings.

In 2011, the sole proprietorship turned into a society, literally changing its name and taking the role of General Contractor. In the same year, part of the management staff started working in smart working.

In January 2021, the company, maintaining the role of General Contractor, took on a new corporate structure. It also changed its name into the current one; the English words Tuscan Renovations perfectly represent the activity we carry out: Tuscan Renovations.
